We Are Hiring!!

Come join the crew at the Whitby Lobster Hatchery as a Full-time Aquaculturist/Marine Biologist! POSITION CLOSED

We are looking for someone with a passion for marine life and a desire to make a positive impact on sustainable fishing.

As the facility is newly installed, you will have the exciting opportunity to establish protocols and systems in a supportive and dynamic environment. We are looking for someone who has a good level of initiative and independence, with a drive to learn and grow within the role.

Your day-to-day duties will include ensuring the wellbeing of our lobsters, maintaining the hatchery space and equipment, and monitoring and recording important information. You will also have the opportunity to work alongside volunteers, collaborate on research projects, and greet visitors to inform them about our project and sustainable fishing practices.

To ensure you have all the necessary skills, we will provide a week-long training course at the start of the role, followed by regular training and development opportunities.

If you are passionate about marine life, have a background in aquaculture or marine biology, and are looking for an exciting new opportunity, we want to hear from you! Come be a part of our growing hatchery and help us make a positive impact on sustainable fishing practices.
